Good Hope Uganda, in partnership with Kampala Medical Center, organized a free medical camp in Mbarara District last weekend. The event was a resounding success, serving over 500 community members.
The medical team consisted of 15 doctors, 20 nurses, and 10 support staff who provided various services including general consultations, dental care, eye testing, HIV/AIDS screening, and blood pressure checks.
All medications were provided free of charge, and patients with serious conditions were referred to partner hospitals for follow-up care.
"Many people in rural areas cannot afford medical care," explained Dr. Mukasa, the lead physician. "These camps are crucial in ensuring everyone has access to basic healthcare services."
